Never was the horse born already broken…

Out on the plain,
the wind bends the grain,
and In the long autumn light, I can see the seasons change,
From my window pane -
The whiskey, and the nighttime...
...coming on again.

Then I’m gone before the dawn,
gone another day,
gone for another dollar,
and another bill still to pay -
I get by okay -
It’s what I have...
...and it's why I stay.

I don’t know why I do the things I do -
The strongest laws are all unspoken.
Why do I believe what’s true is true?
Never was the horse born, already broken.

I Left a note in the bathroom,
I hope it can explain,
Why? Or just goodbye...? They’re both pretty much the same.
So I can spare you the trouble,
but not the pain.
You get just as wet whether you walk or run through the rain.

I don’t know why I do the things I do -
The strongest laws are all unspoken.
Why do I believe what’s true is true?
Never was the horse born, already broken.

Yippy-ti-yi-yee, yippy-ti-yi-yo.
